Tanker boarded by robbers off Apapa-Lagos BOP Terminal
The 'Rose M' was boarded by approximately seven to eight armed robbers in two wooden boats, during cargo operations at the Apapa-Lagos BOP Terminal on Oct 6, 2019, at 10.30 p.m. The crew noticed the robbers, raised the alarm and stopped the discharge operations. Before leaving the vessel, the robbers fired their weapons towards the crew and escaped. No injuries were reported. Cargo from the terminal's manifolds were reported stolen. The ship sailed from Apapa-Lagos on Oct 8 and arrived in Bonny on Oct 12.
