Tideadmiral hit by veteran ferry
On Jan 18, 2012, at 2.03 p.m. the small ferry "Beffen" ran into the side of the "Tidedmiral" in Bergen. The "Beffen" was moored at the Munke Pier after the accident. There were no reports of injuries, but slight damage to the speed ferry. There was one passenger on board the "Beffin" at the time of the accident. Obiviously a failure of the "Beffin"'s engine had caused the allision, and the ship was taken out of operation until the problem was fixed and the ship remained at the quay in Bergen. The Police launched an investigation. A mechanic from a workshop on Lakesvåg was called to carry out repairs. The small ferry "Beffen" is operatiing between Nordnes and Bryggen for over 100 years.
