Medevac in Bermuda
On June 27, 2020, the 'Newseas Jade' was forced to divert to Bermuda after a crew member complained of stomach problems. The ship’s captain alerted authorities on the island when the ship was about 575 miles north west of the island. The vessel, en route from Ust-Luga to Port Manatee in Florida, dropped off the 32-year-old Chinese sailor in the morning. The man was transferred to the Marine&Ports pilot boat St David, delivered to shore and taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
