Grounding in Solund
The "Aqua Kvaløy", cominng from Tananger, ran aground in Solund in Sogn og Fjordane on Sep 8, 2019, at 4.40 p.m. south of Indrøyna. The MRCC called the lifeboat "Halvdan Grieg" to assist. The unloaded ship had suffered a leak in a technical water tank in the bulbous bow. It was refloated at 6.55 p.m. and taken to Florø, where it safely berthed at the cargo terminal at 11 p.m. for inspections.
