Fish carrier assisted creel boat
On June 6, 2019, the "Ronja Carrier" and the RNLI lifeboat from Aith resonded to a distress call of the wooden 9-m-creel boat "Scotties Pride" with one person on board which had hit rocks off St Ninian’s Isle in the morning. When the lifeboat arrived at the scene at 11.30 a.m. the creel boat was alongside the fish carrier which had been in the vicinity. The lifeboat put one crew member and pump on board the "Scotties Pride" to keep her afloat while making it back to port on her own steam. Both vessels were expected to alongside at Scalloway Harbour at 2 p.m.
