Joint response to migrant boat
On Nov 26, 2023, the 'MSC Claudia', en route from Casablanca to Barcelona, sighted a precarious boat which had stopped 23 nautical miles from the coast of Cartagena in the Balearic Sea. The crew reported the position to the MRCC of Salvamento Marítimo in Cartagena and escorted the boat until the arrival of the SAR boat 'Salvamar Draco'. Its crew rescued the four people who were on board and disembarked them at the port of Cartagena.
