Coming from Hamburg on July 28 2012, the "Conger“ suffered a loss of steering power on the Kiel Canal sailing eastbound in the late afternoon and ran into the embankment at Breiholz. The ship proceeded with tug escort to Kiel after having refloated and berthed at the Voith Quay for surveys and repairs at 4.20 a.m. on July 29.
