Allision in Kaoshiung
The 'China Steel Growth' broke off its mooring buoys in Kaohsiung off the container terminal when a strong storm hit the town on Aug 4, 2020, at 4 a.m. The ship drifted astern, and allided with its stern with the berthed container ship 'Wan Hai 162'. Both ships were damaged. Also a gantry crane was hit but not damaged. The 'Wan Hai 162' left the port at 08.30 a.m. and moored at KaohsiungÄs outer anchorage.
