Allision in Brake
The "Neuland" being loaded with feed products and coming from Rostock, allided with the wooden Pier in the port of Breake on Feb 17, 2013 around 1 a.m. The ship suffered minor damage above the waterline. Furthermore, a boat crane was damaged. The exact amount of damage was not yet known. When the ship was docking, the power of the bow thruster was not sufficient regarding the strong tide current so that the rear struck the pier.The ship was detained by the shipping authority Bremerhaven until further notice. Collision on the Breitling
In the afternoon of Mar 1, 2012, the "Skåne" was in collision with the "Arklow Spirit“ on the Breitling between Rostock Seaport and Warnemünde. The cargo vessel had just departed bound for Cork. Both ships were damaged, no spills reported, no iunjuries. The ferry was able to resume its voyage to Trelleborg 90 minutes after the accidents after investigations were completed. The "Arklow Spirit" returned to Rostock.
