General cargo with container capacity Anouk (2316 gt, built 2000), en route to Fredericia, Denmark, while departing Northern Lock, Brunsbuettel, Kiel Canal, came in contact with the moored fully cellular containership Neuenfelde (9981 gt, built 2001), en route from Hamburg, Germany to Kaliningrad, Russia, at around 1500 hrs, local time, Jul 3. Both the vessels sustained superficial damages and were later cleared to resume their voyages after police check.

On Nov 2, 2011, at 2.30 p.m. the "OOCL Neva" sailing eastbound for St. Petersburg was in collision with the "Blue Carmel" which was westbound between canal km 42,3 and 43 between Breiholz and Oldenbüttel. Both ships suffered slight damage.
