Iron ore became wet on the Northsea
After the "Melody" had departed from Rotterdam on Dec 5, 2014, loaded with iron ore, the vessel reported to the Dutch Coast Guard that the cargo was getting wet and they encountered stability problems. The vessel was directed to the Den Helder anchorage where the ship was moored on Dec 6 and authorities boarded the vessel for inspection. The master was then informed that further sailing was prohibited and the vessel had to be discharged first.
