The "Baccara" was in collision with the German canal ferry "Breslau", 100 ts, at Brunsbuettel in the Kiel Canal on May 3, 2011, at 6.50 p.m. . The cargo ship was underway from Klaipeda to Rotterdam with a cargo of bulk, liquid fertilizer and grain, ETA May 5, when the accident happened during an evasive manoever. The canal ferry suffered damage at the hull and upper deck. No injuries reported. The "Baccara" continued its voyage around 8 p.m.
