The owners and charterers of the 'Frontier Falcon' reported that the vessel completed its cargo operations at the port of Icdas on Aug 25 at 09.30 a.m. The vessel then moored at the Marmara West Anchorage, as the current Master, Chief Officer and Chief Engineer have been taken ashore to continue assisting the authorities with their enquiries with regards to the confiscated 25-kilogram package of drugs found attached to the ship’s hull. All stated their innocence and that they have no involvement in the incident. The owners believed that they were likely to spend some more time in Icdas before they return onboard. For this reason and to prevent any delay, they deployed replacment personnel which was expected on board on Aug 27. The others will be repatriated after the enquiries have been completed. The vessel was not detained by the authorities, as it was concluded that it was not involved in any illegal trade and was authorized to sail upon the arrival of the new Captain and Chief Engineer. The owners and charterers cooperated fully with the local investigations to establish responsibility for the illegal shipment.

Three days after the 'Frontier Falcon' berthed at Icdas on Aug 19, 2020, coming from Santa Marta in Colombia, on Aug 22 a joint team of the police anti-narcotics division and the Coast Guard searched the ship's hulll and found a c box, attached to the hull in aft section. The box contained packages with cocaine, totaling 25 kilo. The hull inspection by divers was to be continued. Seven crew who were allegedly in the process of procuring the packages from a box.
