Morning-Carol

The "Morning Carol" got highest environmental standards (ESI) in the Antwerp port. In July, the Port Authority announced to grant a discount for 25 ships using standards such as fuel consumption and emissions accoring to a detailed classification of environmental standards, the Environmental Ship Index (ESI). The "Morning Carol" achieved the highest standard and will receive a discount of 10%. ESI is an initiative of the ports of Antwerp, Le Havre, Hamburg, Bremen, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. The standards are the same everywhere, but any port can determine which benefits it gives to each score. Source: www.logistiek.be
