Navigator-Global

A fire broke out aboard the 'Navigator Global' at the jetty of the Brega Seaport on the early morning of Sep 24, 2025. Emergency teams managed to control the fire after a rapid intervention to limit the spread of the flames. The fire had ignited in the front section of the vessel. To enhance the firefighting efforts, the ship’s upper engine was shut down, which helped control the flames and prevent them from spreading to the rest of the vessel. The General Administration of Operations at the Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Manufacturing Company was also notified to follow up on the incident’s repercussions and provide technical supervision at the site. Assessment and investigation were commenced to determine the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported. The tanker had arrived in Brega, en route from Gibraltar, on Sep 23.
