Migrants rescued south of Caleta de Vélez
On Aug 22, 2025. the 'Navig8 Gratitude', enroute from Huelva to Sinesl, ocated a person of Maghrebi origin in the water, wearing a wetsuit, 24 nautical miles south of Caleta de Vélez. After rescuing him, it requested a medical evacuation, and the SAR helicopter Helimer 215 was mobilized, He was transferred to the Motril heliport for medical assistance.
