Nave-Equinox

3 x MR2 (“Nave Equinox” 51/2007 Stx, “Nave Orbit” 50/2009 Spp & “Nave Velocity” 50/2015 Spp) were sold to Chinese buyers for USD 47,2 mill enbloc with 5,5 years average T/C back.

The "Nave Qquinox" suffered an engine failure at Kumkapi Point, Istanbul Strait, on Jan 23, 2018. The tanker was en route from Bourgas to Malta, in a laden condition, when it experienced engine failure at the end of strait passage at Kumkapi point, south of the Istanbul strait, at 05,30 a.m. The tugs "Kurtarma-3" and "Kurtarma-7" immediately attended the vessel which was secured by the tugs and the towage operation commenced from the place of incident to the Istanbul tanker anchorage area. The vessel dropped anchor at the Istanbul tanker anchorage point by 11 a.m. An incident investigation file has been placed by the Harbour Master and the departure permission was cancelled, until completion of permanent repairs. A fine will be imposed due to breach of safe passage navigation regulation. The tanker left the anchorage on Feb 1 at 12.30 p.m. and resumed the voyage to Marsaxlokk, ETA Feb 4, 5 a.m.
