Robbery attempt thwarted
The "Red Lily" was boarded by two robbers via the anchor chain, during cargo operations, at the Muara Berau anchorage, in position 00 15 31.2S, 117 41 57.6E, on Aug 27, 2018, at 12.55 a.m. The duty crew spotted the robbers and immediately notified the master and duty officer. The alarm was raised, and crew members made their way to the forecastle. Hearing the crew members approaching, the robbers fled the vessel and escaped in their boat. The incident was reported to the vessel's agent.
