First ship transiting Kiel Canal after collision of Siderfly
The "Mittelplate" was the first ship to pass the sunken "Siderfly" in the Kiel Canal on Oct 31, 2013, at 11 a.m. after the canal closure was lifted. The ship had been waiting in Kudensee since the collision on Oct 28. The "Mittelplate" was followed by four ships coming from the Elbe which transited the canal without problems.
