Collision on the Yangtze
The bulk carrier 'Bulk Shenzen' (IMO: 9849746) was in collision with the 'RB Lisa' on the Yangtze river near Shanghai on Aug 1, 2021, around 10 p.m. The accident happened when the 'RB Lisa' unmoored from its berth at Chongming island in the river estuary, enroute to Singapore, and came in contact with the incoming 'Bulk Sheznzen' which was carrying 103,655 tons of iron ore on board and suffered hull damage. Both ships were anchored near the accident site in pos. 31° 32.03' N 121° 23.24' E resp. 31° 31.61' N 121° 23.31' E where they remained stationary as of Aug 2.
