NAHLIN 1009417
On Apr 25, 2010, the "Nahlin" created waves of about 2,5 metres height which sank the small Hamburg based f/v "Luca" off Wedel on the Elbe at 9.30 a.m. The "Nahlin" was underway towards the Northsea to carry out trials for the Blohm & Voss yard. The skipper of the f/v was thrown onto a dam and slightly hurt. The damage was assessed to be around 3500 Euro. The "Nahlin" was sailing with an estimated speed of 25 knots. The police will use radar data to investigate the incident. The "Nahlin" was to test its new diesels which were installed into the ship after a 60 million Euro overhaul at Nobiskrug Yard and Blohm & Voss.
