Raunefjord

The "Raunefjord" encountered a major technical problem and engine failure in the morning of Apr 13, 2017. The ferry had sailed at 9.15 a.m. from Sandvikvåg to Halhjem bbut suffered engine trouble one hour later within the bay. After she stopped for some time, she managed to continue to Halhjem with slow speed. All departures from Halhjem were canceled for the time being.

The "Raunefjord", an ambulance boat from Austevoll and the lifeobat "Askerbæringen" from Kleppestø responded after a pleasure boat with two adults and two children on board ran aground on Halhjem on Sep 4, 2015, at 7 p.m. not far from the ferry dock. They were attended by a smaller pleasure boat that came to assist. The cabin cruiser took in some water. The lifeboat was on scene one hour after the alert and remained on standby until a crane refloated the boat. On July 16, 2015, the "Raunefjord" forgot to drop off cars and had to turn around and go back to the wharf.The ferry was running between Halhjem and Sandvikvåg. Affected were almost 20 cars. Only when passengers notified the crew, the ferry turned around and went back to the ferry port.
