Ramtind

The "Ramtind" which was replacing the ferry "Leka" on the Leka Fjord during a planned overhaul, suffered technical problems after only some trips. The generator of a side thruster failed, and on Feb 13, 2014, the ship was moved to Sandnessjoen for repairs. As it was thought it was a minor malfunction the ferry "Torget" was inserted as a temporary substitute for the spare ferry. But when it turned out that the damage was more extensive than first thought a a new replacement ferry had to be summoned . The "Kjerringoy" was found to serve as reserve ferry which was expected to start sailing on Feb 15.

The "Ramtind" which served as a replacement ferry for the regular ferry "Leka" on the Lekafjord which has a scheduled yard stay of 3 weeks in October 2011, encountered engine trouble on several days. Workers were busy all night to get the bow thruster of the "Ramtind" working again, but it is difficult to obtain parts for such an ferry. The ferry company has indicated that the ferry Ytterøy may be called instead, but this would take some time before everything is arranged. Now the speedboat "Ørtind" was borrowed from Bindal, which is able to carry six cars.
