Medevac off Vlieland
A crew member of the "Minerva Alice" had to be medevaced by helicopter and was taken to the Gemini Hspital in Den Helder. On May 2, 2012, at 02.15 a.m. the "Minerva Alice" reported that the man had fallen ill, and the Radion Medical Service concluded that he had appndicitis. At 06.30 a helicopter of the Army Base Leeuwarden took off and headed for the ship which was about 80 kilometres northwest of Vlieland.
