Grounding on Paraná
The 'Kydonia', sailing in partial load, ran aground on the Paraná River at kilometer mark 337, downstream from San Nicolas, on June 17, 2020, at 12.30 a.m. It had just sailed from San Lorenzo and sailed towards Recalada a Bahía Blanca. The grounded ship was obstructing passing traffic. It could be refloated on June 18 around 2 a.m. and was moved upstream with two tugs. At 7 a.m. it was moored in pos. 33° 20.26' S 060° 10.00' W, assisted by the tug 'Albacora' (IMO: 7337567).
