Medevac off Savona
On Aug 28, 2022, a crew member of the "Mimmi Schulte", en route from Piraeus, suffered severe abdominal pains. The captain made contact with the Italian Coast Guard which deployed the patrol boat 'CP 863' with a doctor from the Cisom (Italian Relief Corps of the Order of Malta) on board. Once in the vicinity of the ship, the patient was transferred on board and taken to the port of Savona. He was then taken to the emergency room. His ship berthed in Vado Ligure at 6.10 p.m.
