Bulk carrier grounded at Eregli
On Oct 23, 2024, the ”Mildred', carrying 85000 tons of iron ore, ran aground at the entrance of Ereğli Iron and Steel Factories (ERDEMİR) port. After the initial inspection by ERDEMİR pilot boats, the situation was reported to the Karadeniz Ereğli Port Authority. The Port Authority closed the cargo ship entrances to Karadeniz Ereğli.
