Cargo ship suffered steering gear control failure
The "BBC Delaware" suffered a steering gear control failure while transiting the St. Lawrence River off Cap-Sante, Quebec, in position 46 39.775 N, 071 47.925 W, on Dec 19, 2ß18 at 1 a.m. The vessel continued its voyage using an alternative steering gear control mode to Trois-Rivières for repairs where it arrived at noon. After completion of repairs it sailed again on Dec 20 at 10.50 to Contrecoeur and headed onto the North Atlantic for order on Dec 22 at 5.10 p.m.
