Medevac off Cape Sonunion
The Port Authority of Lavrio was informed in the evening of Dec 28, 2020, by the Greek JRCC, that a 62-year-old crew member of the 'Mehmet Kahveci A' needed to be medevaced. Tje ship was six miles south of Cape Sonunion, enroute fromIzmit to Misrata. A Navy helicopter immediately took off and took the patient off. He was transported to the Elefsina military airport, picked up by an EKAB ambulance and transported to the Thriasio General Hospital of Elefsina. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Central Port Authority of Lavrio.
