Chief engineer died on board
The Port Authority of Salamina was informed in the afternoon of Nov 13, 2022, by the master of the "Apostolos M", that the 47-year-old chief of the ship, had lost consciousness and needed medical treatment. He was picked up by an ambulance and taken to the Salamina Health Center, where he was pronounced dead. A preliminary investigation was being carried out by the 3rd Port Department of Salamina of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus, while an autopsy was ordered to be carried out at the Forensic Service of Piraeus.
