APL takes delivery of APL Barcelona from DSME
APL, the container shipping arm of Singapore transportation group NOL, has taken delivery of the 10,700-TEU APL Barcelona, which is the fourth newbuilding in a six ship series ordered by NOL between 2007 and 2010. The APL Barcelona is be deployed on the G6 Asia-Europe Loop 7 service, reports Alphaliner. The vessel preceeds the delivery of the APL Paris a week later. The last ship in the series being built by DSME, the APL Dublin, will be delivered this December. The four HHI-built units were already delivered between December 2011 and May 2012.
