Panamax acquisition takes Apeejay fleet past the 5m dwt mark

India’s Apeejay Shipping has bought its second panamax bulker of the year, taking a 13-year old, Japanese-built 76,602 dwt ship which it has renamed APJ Angad 2. The acquisition takes the Apeejay fleet past the 5m dwt mark. In September, the company took a 16-year old panamax – also Japanese built.
