Medevac off Punta Rasca
On Feb 3, 2021, a medical evacuation was carried out 54 miles from Punta Rasca from the 'Aphrodite M'. A Ukrainian crew member of the bulk carrier which was enroute from Jorf Lasfar to Santos was injured at the hand. The SAR helicopter Helimer 211 was deployed by Savemento MarÃtimo to take him to hospital for treatment. The victim was safely hoisted and transferred to the Tenerife North airport where an ambulance picked him up .
