Barge stuck by low tide
In the night of May 19, 2016, the "Antonie", 2060 ts (EU-No.: 2318724), got stuck on the shore in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg. The crew had berthed the barge for the night and not cared for the tide and water depth, so the ship found itself resting the bow on the stones of the shore at the Vering Canal barrier in Wilhelmsburg and listing to port. The crew alerted the water police which attended the ship but found that there was nothing to do except waiting for the tide to rise again which lifted the ship off without damage, so that the fire rescue did not have to be called. On May 20 the ship was able to continue the voyage towards the Ostermoor port in BrunsbΓΌttel.
