Ship disabled in Kiel Canal
Enroute from Ijmuiden to Soelvesborg the "Adamas" suffered engine damage while transiting the Kiel Canal eastbound on Dec 20, 2015. The ship moored in the passing place Königsförde, where the crew tried in vain to get the engine running again. As the ship was hampering the traffic in the canal, at midnight the tugs "Stein" and "Falckenstein“ were called from Kiel and pulled the disabled ship to the North Port in Kiel, where it was berthed on Dec 21 at 1.30 a.m. for repairs by workers of the Lindenau Yard.
