Freighter detained by Libyan Army
The 'Annemieke' was intercepted and detained by a Libyan National Army(LNA) patrol vessel 16 nautical miles northeast of Ras el Hilal, on Aug 12, 2021, at 11.15 a.m., while proceeding from Tripoli to the Suez Canal, in position 33 05 27.0N, 22 23 31.8E. The vessel was detained for breaching the LNA 'No Sail Zone' and was escorted to the Ras el Hilal anchorage for administrative procedures. As of Aug 14, the ship was moored in pos. 32° 53.95' N 022° 12.08' E.
