An Iranian Combattante II fast-attack craft approached the 'TRF Moss' on July 5, 2023, at around 1 a.m. LT. The Iranian vessel left after the destroyer USS 'McFaul' arrived on the scene with an MQ-9 Reaper and a P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft. The 'TRF Moss' was heading southeast in the Gulf of Oman.
