Grounding on Volga-Caspian Sea Navigation Canal
The 'Omskiy - 177' with a cargo of barley on board ran aground in pos. 45 49 53 N, 047 33 01 E on the Volga-Caspian Sea Navigation Canal at km mark 60,2 in the Astrakhan region in the morning of Oct 28, 2022. There was no water ingress, no pollution, and ship traffic on the canal was not blocked. The Russian tugs 'Ural' and 'OT-2080' have been dispatched to refloat the vessel.
