Tank breached in grounding
The 'Majestic Sky' suffered a hull breach in the bow after unmooring off the COFCO terminal in San Lorenzo on the Paraná river in the morning of Sep 24, 2020. The ship had just completed loading 42,000 tons of soy meal and was about to set sail for Las Palmas with an ETA as of Oct 7. A forepeak ballast tank was breached in the incident at river km 443, and the ship encountered water ingress which could be coped by the bilge pumps. The ship moored on San Lorenzo Anchorage in pos. 32° 46.12' N 060° 42.96' W and needed to be repaired before setting sail.
