Majestic

A fire broke out on the evening of Jan 5, 2026, aboard the 'Majestic', while it was preparing to depart from Genoa to Tangier- Med. Firefighters and the Port Authority responded to the scene. The fire started in a boiler smokestack. Firefighters extinguished the flames after initial operations by the onboard crew, while Coast Guard personnel coordinated port safety operations. The passengers were placed in the ship's assembly areas for rapid evacuation if necessary. The fire was extinguished around midnight. There were no injuries. Staff from the Coast Guard's Navigation Safety Service intervened on board, along with RINA inspectors. The ferry remained docked in the port for technical inspections as of Jan 6.

On June 10, 2025, at 4.15 p.m. the medical evacuation of a 3-year-old boy was requested by the medical service on the 'Majestic', sailing between Barcelona and Tangier, about 57 nautical miles east of Castelló, due to his serious condition due to respiratory problems. The CCS Tarragona of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the SAR helicopter Helimer 213, which hoisted the boy at 6 p.m. and transported him along with his father to the Reus Airport, where an ambulance was waiting after the arrival at around 6:40 p.m. Te ambulance transported them to the Sant Joan Hospital.

In the night of Aug 19, 2020, a passenger of the 'Majestic' which was enroute from Tanger-Med to Barcelona suffered cardiac problems. Salvamento Marítimo was called to assist and deployed the SAR helicopter Helimer 211 which carried out a medical evacuation of the patient from the ship. He was taken to the Jerez airport, where an ambulance was waiting for the further transport to hospital.

On July 28, 2018, an 11-year-old child with diabetic crisis was medevaced from the "Majestic". Salvamento Maritimo deployed the Helimer 201 helicopter which hoisted the child and took it to Manises where an ambulance transported him to the hospital "La Nueva Fe" in Valencia.
