Cargo ship adrift off Gotland
The "Ankie" suffered trouble with its main engine and went adrift nothwest of Gotland on Jan 12, 2015, enroute from Hamburg to Inkoo with a cargo of steel cables. The conditions were relatively favorable. The Swedish Coastguard sent the patrol boat "KBV 003 - Amfitrite" to assist. The ship was currently drifting with one knot. The Faroes flagged tug "Freja" (IMO: 9175262) was sent from Oxelösund at 2.30 p.m. to assist the vessel and has reached it in the run of the afternoon. It was safely moored in Oxelösund on Jan 13 at 8.30 a.m.
