Tanker lost crew member over board off Ijmiden
On Jan 19, 2019, around 8.30 p.m. a crew member of the "Mahadah Silver" was lost over board at anchorage 7 near Zandvoort on the Northsea off Ijmuiden. The ship had arrived from Sarroch on Jan 14, moored in pos. 52° 26.25' N 003° 57.70' E and was waiting to enter the port of Amsterdam. Lifeboats from Wijk aan Zee, IJmuiden, Zandvoort, Katwijk and Noordwijk as well as an aircraft launched an SAR operation. At midnight the search was suspended.
