On Jan 15, the 'Lochnevis', serving on the route Mallaig - Armadale, suffered a technical issue which required repairs. As a consequence, the scheduled departures from Mallaig at 4:10 p.m. and from Armadale at 4:55 p.m. had to be cancelled. Though the issue could be resolved, on Jan 16 the departures from Mallaig at 08:40 a-m- and from Armadale at 09:25 a.m. remained cancelled. The afternoon sailings were to be operated as scheduled. After the' technical issue has been resolved on Jan 18, the service was no longer liable to disruption or cancellation as of Jan 19.

The 'Lochnevis', serving on the route Mallaig-Armadale, suffered a technical issue withthe praxis system impacting key safety equipment of the ferry on Jan 3, 2026, and had to be removed from the route as a consequence. The ferry 'Larven' (MMSI: 232015222) was inserted on Jan 5 to operate the published timetable for foot passengers. The cargo m/v 'Miss Marley' (MMSI: 232062159) was chartered for vehicle transport andl operated the following timetable: Departure Mallaig 10:15 a.m.; Arrival Eigg 12:00 p.m.; Departure Eigg 12:15 p.m.; Arrival Rum 1:30 p.m.; Departure Rum 1:45 p.m.; Arrival Mallaig 3:30 p.m. Due to the ongoing issue, the following sailing have been cancelled until Jan 6: Departure Mallaig 08.15 a.m.; Departure Armadale 09.00 a.m.

The 'Loch Nevis', serving on the route Mallaig-Armadale, had to operate single-ended for the time being. Therefore, vehicles were required to reverse onto the car deck. The ferry was unable to accommodate caravans or trailers. Motorhomes over six meters length were also not able to be accommodated.

The 'Lochnevis', serving on the route Mallaig-Armadale, suffered a technical issue on Nov 12, which required further investigations, As a consequence, the scheduled sailings from Mallaig at 4 p.m. and from Armadale at 4.45 p.m. had to be cancelled.

On Oct 27, the ferry 'Loch Bhrusda' continued to operate a service to the Small Isles to assist with the 'Lochnevis' phased entry in to service, after the repairs were completed on Oct 26, according to the following time table: Departure Mallaig - 10:00 a.m.; Arrival Canna - 12:05 p.m.; Departure Canna - 12:20 p.m.; Arrival Rum - 1:25 p.m.; Departure Rum - 1:40 p.m.; Arrival Mallaig - 3:05 p.m. The 'Loch Bhrusda' was meanwhile operating the following timetable alongside the 'Lochnevis': Departure Mallaig - 10:15 a.m.; Arrival Eigg - 11:50 a.m.; Departure Eigg - 12:20 p.m.; Arrival Muck - 1:00 p.m.; Departure Muck - 1:20 p.m.; Arrival Mallaig - 3:20 p.m. A passenger charter has been sourced and was operating the following timetable: Departure Mallaig - 08:40 a.m.; Departure Armadale - 09:10 a.m.; Departure Mallaig - 5:00 p.m.; Departure Armadale - 5:30 p.m.

Any foot passengers who would like to book on the 'Larven' could do so online or by calling the Customer Engagement Centre on 0800 066 5000. Passengers were asked to check in with the port of departure for instructions on boarding the vessel. Booking in advance was recommended due to limited passenger capacity. The sailings operated by the 'Larven' were not suitable for wheelchair uses or those with mobility issues. The 'Lochnevis' remained stationary in Mallaig for the time being. Meanwhile, required parts for the repair fo the 'Lochnevis' have been ordered, and an update regarding progress was to be provided on Oct 22.

Due to the technical issue of the 'Lochnevis', serving on the route Mallaig-Small Isles, on Oct 5 the 'Loch Bhrusda' has been redeployed and operated an amended timetable: Departure Mallaig 10:30 a.m. Arrival Rum 12:20 p.m. Departure Rum 12:30 p.m. Arrival Muck 2:05 p.m. Departure Muck 2:15 p.m. Arrival Eigg 2:55 p.m. Departure Eigg 3:05 p.m. Arrival Mallaig 4:40 p.m. The 'Lochnevis' has been removed from service due to the issue with the Schottel unit.

Due to the ongoing technical issue of the 'Lochnevis' serving on the route Mallaig.Armadale, previous weather cancellations and to clear the backlog of traffic, the 'Loch Bhrusda' was to be redeployed from Oct 5-7. Due to the propulsion unit defect of the 'Lochnevis' on Aug 17, while serving on the route Mallaig-Small Isles, which required repairs in dry dock in Greenock, an amended timetable continued to be operated to and from the Small Isles from Aug 22 until Aug 28 by the replacement ferry: The 'Loch Bhrusda' was operating the following timetable for booked traffic: Departure Mallaig 10:45 a.m.; Arrival Rum 12:35 p.m.; Departure Rum 12:50 p.m.: Arrival Eigg 2:05 p.m.; Departure Eigg 2:25 p.m.; Arrival Rum 3:40 p.m.; Departure Rum 3:55 p.m.; Arrival Mallaig 5:45 p.m. CalMac was now accepting new vehicle and passenger bookings through until Aug 28 by calling the Mallaig port office on 01687 310240​ (option 2) Space remained limited, and no day trips were accepted.

Due to the ongoing issue of the 'Lochnevis', serving on the route Mallaig-Small Isles and still under repair in Greenock, the ferry 'Loch Bhrusda' and the charter vessel 'Miss Marley' operated a timetable for booked traffic on Aug 20. In addition, the charter vessel 'Larven' was operating a passenger only service in order to provide services to the Small Isle, some amendments were required to the Skye timetable to prevent berthing clashes in Mallaig. This impacted afternoon sailing by the 'Loch Fyne' as follows: Departure Armadale – 2:00 p.m. (previously 2:15 p.m); Arrival Mallaig – 2:45 p.m. (previously 3:00 p.m); Departure Mallaig – 3:00 p.m. (previously 3:15 p.m); Arrival Armadale – 3:45 p.m. (previously 4:00 p.m.); Departure Armadale – 4:00 p.m. (previously 4:15 p.m.); Arrival Mallaig – 4:45 p.m. (previously 5:00 p.m).

The 'Lochnevis', serving on the route Mallaig-Small Isles, had to be removed for service to undergo repairs on Aug 17. Therefore all sailings have been cancelled. The operator CalMac was sourcing a charter vessel. The 'Lochnevis' was shifted from Gourock and entered the Garvel Drydock of the Dales Marine Services in Greenock on Aug 18.

Due to essential maintenance on the 'Lochnevis', operating on the route Mallaig-Small Isles on the evening of July 31, the scheduled sailings on Aug 1 were announced to be liable to disruption or cancelation at short notice by the operator CalMac.

The 'Lochnevis', serving on the route Mallaig-Small Isles, was in need of essential repairs on the evening of July 10. As a consequence, the morning services on July 11 were announced to be liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice by the operator CalMac. A passenger and vehicle charter has been sourced and would be available if required. On the morning of July 11, the repairs have been successfully completed, so that a normal service could be operated.

On Feb 19, the 'Lochnevis', sailing on the route Mallaig-Small Isles, suffered an issue with the vessel’s bow thruster. Combined with adverse weather conditions, an amended timetable was operated with the ferry departing from Mallaig at 10:15 a.m., arriving in Eigg at 11:35 a.m., sailing from there at 11:45 a.m. and arriving back in Mallaig at 1:05 p.m.

The 'Lochnevis', serving on the route Mallaig-Armadale, suffered a technical issue on the morning of Feb 3, which required further investigation. As a result, the scheduled arrival in Armadale at 09:10 a.m. was delayed by approximately 20 minutes. As a result, this may have a knock on effect to the 09:25 am departure from Armadale to Mallaig.
