Ferry drifted aground in storm
The "Husavik", serving on the route - Sandvikvåg-Husavik, broke loose from its moorings on Oct 5, 2025, at 12.30 a.m., and started to drift towards the shore. Fortunately, there was a full crew on board, but despite of this, the ferry could not be stopped before it hit the bottom. The ship berthed in Rubbestadneset on Oct 6.
