Ferry suffered technical issue
The 'Loch Fyne', serving on the route Lochaline - Fishnish. suffered a technical issue in Lochaline, which required further investigation, on March 20. As a consequence, the scheduled sailings at 10:00 a.m. from Lochaline and at 10:25 a.m. from Fishnish were cancelled.After the issue was successfully resolved, the normal service could be resumed with the departure at 10:45 a.m. from Lochaline.
Ferry suffered engine issue
The 'Loch Fyne', serving on the route Largs - Cumbrae, suffered a technical issue with the engine on Jan 28, 2026, which required further investigations. As a consequence, the service had to be suspended until further notice. The ferry was sidelined in Cumbrae for troubleshooting, but was able to return on the route after completion of repairs on the evening of the same day.

Sunday Departure Colintraive – 08:30, 09:00, 09:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 16:30, 17:00, 17:30, 18:00, 19:00, 200:00 and 20:55. Departure Rhubodach – 08:40, 09:10, 09:40, 10:10, 10:40, 11:10, 12:10, 13:10, 14:10, 15:10, 16:10, 16:40, 17:10, 17:40, 18:10, 19:10, 20:10 and 21:00. The vessel was operating single ended. The 'Loch Fyne', serving on the route Colintraive-Rhubodach, suffered a technical issue with the ramp on Oct 10. As a consequence, an amended timetable was operated until Oct 17. The vessel was departing from Colintraive at half past the hour and from Rhubodach at 20 to the hour. The first sailing of the day departed from Colintraive at 05:30 a.m. The final sailings of the day were operated as follows: Departure Colintraive – 8:30 p.m. and 8:55 p.m. Departure Rhubodach – 8:40 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Due to the ramp issue, the vessel was operating single ended. Ferry needs repairs to exhaust system
The 'Loch Fyne', serving on the route Mallaig -Armadale, requires repairs prior to her return, During routine inspections, it has been discovered that sections of the exhaust system onboard the ship have to be attended. The ship berthed at the Dales Marine Systems in Greenock on April 7. Repair proposals and timeframes are currently being developed by a technical team of the operator CalMac in conjunction with external contractors. The ferry 'Loch Bhrusda' will remain on the route during this time. Due to the 'Loch Bhrusda' having a smaller capacity, some bookings may be affected.
