As the 'Loch Alainn', serving on the route Ardmhor-Eriskay, was carrying out a repair on Aug 27 and to provide crew compensatory rest, the 07:00 a.m. request sailing departing Barra and the 08:10 a.m. request sailing departing Eriskay have been cancelled.

The 'Loch Alainn', serving on the route Barra - Eriskay, suffered a Technical issue with the toilet on April 8. As a consequence, the scheduled departure from Barra at 3:45 p.m. and from Eriskay at 4:35 p.m. had to be cancelled. After the technical issue has been suceessfully resolved, the vessel will operate the additional sailings from Barra at 7:15 p.m. with an arrival at Eriskay at 7:55 p.m. and from Eriskay at 8:00 p.m., arriving at Barra at 8:40 p.m.

The 'Loch Alainn', serving on the route Ardmhor-Eriskay, suffered a technical issue on March 29, which required further investigations, As a consequence, the scheduled departure from Eriskay at 4:35 p.m. was delayed. At 6:15 p.m. the operator Calmac reported that the technical issue has been resolved, and the ferry was now loading and would be departing as soon as possible.

The 'Loch Alainn', serving on the route Barra - Eriskay, suffered a technical issue with the main engine on March 18. As a consequence, the vessel has been removed from service. As the ferry 'Loch Bhrusda' was unable to operate due to crew availability, all vehicle sailings were cancelled. A passenger charter vessel was operating an amended timetable on March 18 and 19:. After the repairs to the main engine have been completed on March 20, the sailings were expected to operate according to the published timetable. A slight issue with a sensor was identified. The crew will continue to monitor, and spares weere in transit to the vessel. The 09:15 a.m. departure from Ardmhor departed from Barra at approximately 09:30 a.m. instead. The morning sailings were remaining liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice. After the technical issue has been resolved,the 'Loch Alainn' resumed the scheduled service on March 21 with a delayed 11:10 p.m. departure from Ardmhor.
