Tug lost barge in Laccadive Sea
The "Magellan II" lost its towline with a winch while towing the 180-meter barge "B42" in the Arabian Sea on Sep 26, 2016. The barge with 1000 meters towline fore and 900 meters aft went adrift, the last know position was 12 51N 073 49E, some 57 miles west of Mangaluru on Sep 27 at 02.30 a.m. The convoy had left Cochin on Sep 23.
