Convoy arrived in Kristiansund
As of April 2, the tugs 'Boe Balder' (IMO: 9462342), 'Waterlord' (IMO: IMO 7522150) and 'Waterman' (MMSI: MMSI 259587000) have joined the convoy with the 'LMZ Pluto' and 'Sea 1 Ruby', approaching the port of Kristiansund. In the evening of April 1, the ships were close to Njord when they apparently had to lay up for the weather. The patrol vessel KV 'Jarl' left the quay again, and was waiting inside Grip. On April 2 at 10.38 a.m. the convoy reached the waters of Kristiansund at a speed of two knots, assisted by a pilot. At noon, the 'LMZ Pluto' was safely berthed at the industry park. Disabled bulkcarrier under tow to Averøy
On the morning of March 30, the tug 'Sea1 Ruby' (IMO: 9413444) took over the tow of the 'LMZ Pluto' from the KV 'Jarl', and the casualty was now heading towards land. The Norwegian Coastal Administration had established an emergency tow on the morning of Mar 27. In a challenging operation, the RITS forces from the Bergen Fire Department, a team of six specially trained firefighters, were hoisted down from the 330th Squadron helicopter. The team succeeded in attaching a towline from the Coast Guard ship. The operation was carried out in demanding weather conditions with winds of 40 knots with up to 64 knots in gusts, and a wave height of 6–7 meters. It was the first time such an operation has been carried out with public capacities and has involved many participants such as HRS, the Coast Guard, Bergen Fire Department, 330 Squadron and not least skilled employees of the Norwegian Coastal Administration. Exactly where the ship was now being towed has not yet been decided. The shipping company must have approval from the Norwegian authorities before they can proceed with their plans. On the morning of April 1, the two ships were nearing the coast, in pos. 63° 56' N 007° 07'E, enroute to Averøy, where it was to be repaired with an ETA as of April 2 in the morning, depending on the weather and wind. Bulk carrier emergency towed by Coastguard
Thd 'LMZ Pluto' has been placed under emergency tow to keep it away from installations on the shelf. Special forces from the Bergen Fire Department were placed on board the damaged bulk carrier on March 27. On March 28, they had attached a tow to thr Coastguard vessel ' Jarl'. This was the first time that the public sector has carried out such an emergency tow. The plan was for the shipping company to start the tow no earlier than March 29. The ship is now drifting west of Haltenbanken. The specially trained RITS forces from the fire department were taken from the vessel on the evening of March 28, after they established a tow for the KV 'Jarl', which was keeping it away from oil installations until the shipping company can attach its own tow to the bow. As of March 29, it seemed that the 'Sea1 Ruby' has taken over the tow. The tug 'Farmar Arion' also arrived at around 9 p.m. The 'Jarl' remained on scene as of March 30 too. Bulk carrier abandoned off Rørvik
On the afternoon of March 24, 205, the 'LMZ Pluto', with 23 crew members on board, en route from Murmansk in Russia to Santa Marta, suffered propulsion loss due to an engine failure and sent out a distress call at 5.40 p.m. in the Norwegian Sea, west of Rørvik. It was NUC in pos. 65° 21' N 003° 23' E. There was very bad weather in the area. The captain of this ship requested the evacuation of the crew, and two SAR helicopters were dispatched to the scene.were sent out to the ship by the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) Southern Norway. Shortly after 8:30 p.m. LT, the whole crew was safely lifted off the deck. They were divided between the two helicopters, the rescue helicopter from Ørlandet and the SAR helicopter from Heirdunn. Both helicopters needed to refuel before heading to the Værnes Airport outside Trondheim. No major injuries were reported. They were met by the police, and border control and ID checks were carried out. Then it was up to the shipping company to follow them up afterwards. In the morning of March 25, the ship remained adrift with the authorities closely monitoring the vessel's position to mitigate any environmental risks or navigation hazards, until the storm has subsided enough to facilitate a salvage operation. The patrol vessel 'Jarl' was en route to the scene and expected to reach the bulk carrier on the evening. The drift calculations indicated that this would go well. The Coastal Administration was working closely with the shipping company to get the ship to safety.

Hold flooded with CO2
The fire aboard the "LMZ Pluto" broke out in a room where pieces of rubber and cloths were stored while the ship was on its way from Antwerp to Martas with a cargo of scrap. The crew sealed the hold where the fire was raging and then flooded it with CO2. At 8.30 p.m. the alerted MIRG team went on board to investigate the fire. The hold and the ship were cooled from the outside. At 10.30 p.m. the ship was moored in the Sloehaven in Flushing East to keep the waterway clear and to make the ship easier to access for follow-up operations. The ship has its own fire brigade on board. In the morning of March 24, the Zeeland fire brigade boarded the ship for controls. It finally left the port of Flushing on March 29 at 6.20 p.m. and resumed the voyage to Martas.
Fire on Wester Scheldt
On March 23, 2018, at 7.20 p.m. a fire broke out aboard the "LMZ Pluto" on the Wester Scheldt near Ossenisse. She had sailed from Antwerp at 5.20 p.m. bound to Turkey. The Zeeland Safety Region immediately alerted a KNRM lifeboat and the MIRG, a unit of the fire brigade that specializes in combating fires on board ships. Later it has been decided not to bring the MIRG on board the ship but towards the ship. The crew first tried to extinguish the fire themselves. The ship has been taken to the Put van Terneuzen to be able to anchor there. The tugs "Carl", "Multratug 20", "Multratug 32" and "Union 6" were deployed to the bulkcarrier. Also the patrol boat "RWS 79" went alongside.
