150 liters oil were accidently spilled from the "Maersk Teesport" into the sea due to bad weather conditions, off Saint-Gilles, Réunion, in position 22 13 00 S, 52 12 12 E, on Jun 6, 2019, at 09.20 a.m. The spill was caused by the bad weather conditions, with the vessel rolling heavily up to 35 degrees to port and starboard.
Maersk Tankers Christens Two Medium Range Newbuilds in South Korea
Maritime NewsMaersk Tankers on Friday, April 8, christened two more medium range newbuilds at the Sungdong Shipyard in Tongyong, South Korea as part of the company’s fleet renewal program. Both vessels, Maersk Teesport and Maersk Tianjing, are 50,000 DWT Medium Range (MR) and join their sister ship Maersk Tangier, which was delivered in February.
