Virus infected wheat will be sent back to India
After the "Indian Rubella" virus was detected by the Turikish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in the wheat cargo imported from India, it was decided to send the 'İnce Akdeniz' back from Iskenderun Bay. The ship moored on Ceyhan Anchorage on May 28, 2022. The General Directorate of Food Control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry had taken a wheat sample from the ship at the Iskenderun port and analyzed it. The ship was not allowed to enter because the virus was detected in the analysis.
